The food sector is the business segment with which we have naturally expanded as a result of the intention to develop the company and add value to the livestock farm. So, in 2001, we set up a pig slaughterhouse with a capacity of 100 pigs/day. The slaughterhouse was built "from the ground", through financing from European funds SAPARD, being equipped with the latest equipment and machinery of the 2000s.
The slaughterhouse operates with the implementation of product quality certification and is daily subject to DSVSA audit activity. The technology used takes into account the veterinary rules in force as well as the rules on animal welfare at slaughter.
In the year 2006, our meat preparation section was established. We have built a new building, the place where we produce products prepared with healthy spices and smoked products using natural beech wood smoke.
The slaughterhouse and production section successfully meet the European standards, respecting the traceability of the products, an important requirement for the certification of the quality and the services offered. The equipment used in the manufacturing process is of a wide range, from the most modern ones to the traditional smoker equipment.
